Shroud Series

Part of the legacy of ancient Egypt stems from the attempt to preserve, to create everlasting memories, and to achieve immortality. In this Ephemeral Bronze or Shroud Series, I capture memory in a medium as enduring as bronze while invoking a sense of loss. Described as “Hauntingly Beautiful” and with an appearance as fragile as the very cloth that wrapped and protected the Egyptian Mummies, these delicate bronzes evoke the form and in its absence the tattered cloth holds the memory.
